Rev. Jim noble

Jim came to Sterling City in the Summer of 2014 after four years of pastoral leadership in Alice, TX. This is his second appointment in the Rio Texas Conference. Originally from the Kansas City area (Go Chiefs, Royals, Jayhawks, and now Pat MaHomes!), Jim received the call to vocational ministry while working as a Certified Public Accountant and Consultant in the Dallas area. After graduating with honors (MDiv) from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky in 2010, Jim started his second career. Jim was ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church in 2013. Jim is married to his wife Melanie (1999), a Psychologist, and they have a wonderful daughter. They are also parents to three dogs and 5 (at this moment anyway) fish. Jim also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Truman State University (1995) and a Master's in Accounting and Information Systems from The University of Kansas (1996).

Rev. Andy Smith brings 25+ years of pastoral leadership ministry experience to his duties as West District Superintendent. Andy is a gifted servant leader and a preacher's kid...his father is Jerry Jay Smith, a long-time pastor and leader in the former Southwest Texas Conference. rev. robert schnase - bishop of the rio texas conference

Recently, Bishop Schnase returned to his geographical roots after serving as the Missouri Conference bishop since 2004. He and his family have deep roots in our conference. Prior to his election to the episcopacy, Bishop Schnase was a fruitful and beloved local church pastor in several appointments. Bishop Schnase is also a prolific author of numerous books that are widely available and leader of leaders in our connection.
